Week 24: The construction continues

We see the beginning of the heavy masonry base under construction.  The roof framing is now complete.

Comments from our client: "We wanted a modern house. We just said to Derek we want a low maintenance and modern home, living downstairs, bedrooms upstairs with a pool. We don't want to be renovating it and are living in it for 20 years."

 

 

 

Project: New House, Western Suburbs

Size: Basement Level - 102m2. Water tank area, garage, lobby, provisional for future rumpus room.

Ground Floor Level - 252m2. Meals, family, kitchen, dining and study spaces, entry and deck.
Upper Level - 147m2. Bedrooms.

Construction: Split face block base, upper two stories in timber framing with brick and fibre cement cladding, metal roof.

Construction timing: Approximately 9 months
